  • GÖCH | Veranstaltungen | 38th International Conference on Solution Chemistry

Zurück Belgrade, Serbia 09. - 14. July 2023 38th International Conference on Solution Chemistry Welcome Letter from ICSC Chairman On behalf of the International Steering Committee, we are pleased to invite you to attend the International Conference on Solution Chemistry (ICSC) . ICSC is a traditional conference held every two years for more than half a century over the world, such as Xining (China) (2019), Szeged (Hungary) (2018), Prague (Czech Republic) ((2015), Kyoto (Japan) (2013), La Grande Motte (France) (2011). The future ICSC will be held in Cartagena (Columbia) (2022, postponed due to COVID-19), Berglade (Serbia) (2023), Monastir (Tunisia) (2025). The aim of ICSC is to bring together new results of their scientific works and present and discuss the new findings on various scientific and technological issues related to solution chemistry. Solution chemistry covers a broad and interdisciplinary area in chemistry, physics, and biology, pharmaceutical and medical sciences. With the advent of new theory, analytical methods, computers, and technology, the research area of solution chemistry has now been widely and deeply expanded, and is very promising in industrial applications like biomaterials and proteins, and nanotechnology. Topics to be discussed in 37 ICSC (Cartagena) are • Solution thermodynamics • Electrochemical processes in solution • Ionic liquids • Biochemical processes in solution • Solubility phenomena and phase equilibria • Solution structures and dynamics • Supercritical fluids and solutions under extreme conditions • Colloids and interfaces • Computational solution chemistry • Supramolecular chemistry and solvation • Industrial applications of solution chemistry • General solution chemistry During the conference we arrange ample time for poster sessions so that presenters, in particular, young scientists like PhD students and postdocs, could discuss about their research results with eminent scientists from all over the world. We are sure that all attendees of the conference could bring home fruitful results and have memorable experiences and time in scientific and cultural events during ICSC.

Zurück Padua, Italien 02. - 07. Juli 2024 International School in Photo and Biocatalysis PHOTOCAT: a biennial international school The iniative PHOTOCAT24 is an international school of advanced training aimed at PhD students, post-docs, and young researchers in the fields of sustainability such as photochemistry and biocatalysis , both in academic and industrial contexts. Moreover, PHOTOCAT24 aims to facilitate interaction between academia and industry by creating a European network for advanced training in sustainable chemistry. In fact, PHOTOCAT24 will be the first in a series of biennial itinerant editions in the venues of the Scientific Committee members: Luca Dell’Amico – Padua, Italy Shoubik Das – University of Antwerp, Belgium Rene Königs – RWTH Aachen University, Germany Bartholomäus Pieber – ISTA, Austria Marcos Garcia Suero – ICIQ, Spain Olalla Vazquez – Philipps Universität Marburg, Germany PHOTOCAT24 will bridge the gap between academia and industry by training a new generation of researchers in the field of green chemistry , which uses sustainable sources such as sunlight and biocatalysts. This, combined with the international dimension and biennial frequency, will give further impetus to the sustainable growth of the regional chemical system with a final impact also at the national and European levels. In addition, the European network that will be established will lead to the development of collaborative projects and the mobility of young researchers involved. PHOTOCAT24 - Padova PHOTOCAT24 will be held at the lecture halls of the Department of Chemical Sciences (DiSC) of the University of Padua . The opening and closing ceremonies of the school will take place at the headquarters of Palazzo Bo and the Botanical Garden . PHOTOCAT24 will feature the participation of sixteen speakers , whose presentations will be distributed in twelve lectures, chaired by members of the Scientific and Organizing Committees . The participating speakers are the top experts in the field of photo and biocatalysis , as evidenced by their presence in the lists of world’s Highly Cited Scientists (Clarivate Analytics) and the relevance of their publications. Two poster presentation sessions of the participants’ research are also scheduled. The most relevant contributions will be selected by a group consisting of members of the Organizing and Scientific Committees and the speakers, and will have the opportunity to present their results through a short oral presentation . Finally, the same committee will select the 3 best oral presentations to be awarded."
