From the statutes of GÖCH:

The Presidium is the leading body of the association and consists of the President, three to six Vice Presidents, and the Managing Director (who has no voting rights). The President and Vice Presidents serve a two-year term beginning January 1 after election.

The President represents the association externally, chairs the Board and General Assembly, and carries out their decisions.
